ABOUT TAKE A LOVED ONE TO THE DOCTOR®
Community Enrichment:
Take A Loved One to the Doctor® (TALOTTD) is a targeted campaign to raise health awareness in the Black community. This initiative launched in 2002 between the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS) and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Administration. Since then, Tom continues to encourage his listeners to be proactive about their health bymaking appointments for themselves and a loved one to visit health professionals.

Audience of 8 Million+:
Due to overwhelming demand, TALOTTD grew from one day into a year-long health awareness campaign. It now occurs from January-December 2012 on “Get Well Wednesdays” with the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS) featuring health topics and expert advice on-air supported by resourceful health information on-line at www.BlackAmericaWeb.comto further generate awareness and action.

Taking It to the Streets:
Take A Loved One to the Doctor® will feature a signature health event: The TALOTTD Health Festival at the LiacourasCenter in Philadelphia, PA on Friday & Saturday, October 19 -20, 2012. This event will include the Tom Joyner Sky Show (a national broadcast with health updates from TJMS affiliates across the country) as well as a health expo that will offer each attendee a chance to take advantage of potentially over $1,000 worth of FREE health services.
